Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022
The Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 commenced on 1 September 2022.
An exposure draft of the proposed Regulation was available for public comment until 8 July 2022.

The Regulation is a remake of the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2014 with some amendments, as part of the staged repeal of statutory rules under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
The object of the proposed Regulation is to make provision about the health and safety of workers at mine and petroleum sites. A regulatory impact statement (RIS) examined the need for the proposed Regulation and its costs and benefits.
