DIGS
DIGS® is a publicly accessible online collection of reports, publications and data.
DIGS (Digital Imaging Geological System) is a publicly accessible online collection of reports, publications and data. It includes exploration, geological, geotechnical and mining reports, publications, maps, plans and heritage records, as well as company exploration reports, data and mine plans.
There are over 140 000 documents and many are open file (non-confidential). Company exploration reports for mineral, coal and petroleum remain confidential for a set period, under provisions of the Mining Regulation 2016 (c.59C) and Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1992 (s.113E). Reports are generally made open file when the authority expires or the confidentiality period has passed.
DIGS® can be searched by spatial area, text, advanced content or a refined search. Search lists can be saved and shared.
A detailed DIGS® user guide is available.
