The Mining Titles Register (MTR) is a public register of exploration and mining titles. The MTR publishes a daily record of all applications and titles, as well as applications that are granted, renewed, transferred or cancelled under the Mining Act 1992.
The MTR reflects the requirements of sections 159, 161 and 163A of the Mining Act 1992 and sections 95 and 97 of the Petroleum (Onshore) Act 1991.
The MTR allows users to filter and search for titles by:
- application/title
- resource
- operation
- status
- type
- applied/grant date
- past determination/expiry date

Correcting or suppressing personal information on the Mining Titles Register
Any person whose personal information is recorded in a register has the right to apply to the department to access and correct any personal information the department holds about you if that information is inaccurate, incomplete, not relevant, or out of date. Any person whose personal information is recorded in a register has the right to request that their personal details be suppressed if certain circumstances are met.
