Captains Flat (Lake George) Mine
The Lake George Mine is at Captains Flat, approximately 50 kilometres south east of Canberra. The mine operated over several decades starting in the late 1880s and closing in the 1960s, producing lead, zinc, copper, pyrite, silver and gold.
Leadville Mine
The project is being delivered by the NSW Government as part of its Legacy Mines Program, which proactively reduces risks to the community through remediation of historic and abandoned mines to improve public safety and the environment.
